This is straight out of a Betty Crocker Cookbook from 1985. I use to make it for potlucks in the summertime, but it is good ALL year long! -- posted by Happy Harry #2
Sweet & Sour Fish
From a Jewish cookbook (your guess is as good as mine which one) this is a great alternative to gefilte fish. Nice as an appetizer or as a light main dish. I use salmon as it is readily available and is very good but the recipe suggested trout, and carp as well, so go with your favorite. The prep time does not account for chill time. -- posted by Ilysse
Chilled Curried Seafood Soup
This is a really nice soup. Perfect for a hot summer day. Got it from Betty Crocker's New Choices Cookbook. Cook time reflects chill time, but you should never trust my prep times anyway. -- posted by Ilysse
Homestyle Tuna Salad Sandwich
Simple and easy to make, yet a crowd pleaser. I usually make this for picnics or as finger foods when we are cooking out. Make any changes as necessary to suit your tastes. -- posted by VA Navy Wife 06
Good News–bad News Tuna Salad “salad” Sandwich
I know its a long name, but its descriptive. The Good News - my DH loves tuna salad. The Bad News - he devours it faster than I can make a batch of std tuna salad. So I found this way to extend the refrigerator life of our tuna salad & he likes it better! Despite the expanded bulk, you dont lose the tuna flavor. This makes a good tuna melt too, but hes always impatient & slathers it on wheat bread. Enjoy! -- posted by twissis
The Elegant Wrap
This unique recipe was originally titled "Alaska Crab Wrap Sandwich" (Source: Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute). It was intended to be a main course for 4, but crab is expensive here & not readily available ... so I adaped it as a starter course for 8 using shrimp, amended it slightly & renamed it "The Elegant Wrap". -- posted by twissis
Spiced Shrimp Butter
This is great to butter canapes, for use in sauces or on broiled or poached fish. -- posted by Stacey Sweet
